Privacy
As technology continues to advance and become more relevant in our everyday lives, people seem to ignore how our privacy is getting invaded as a result of this. As technology continues to advance, more of our personal information is being kept by companies and databases. Our phones are practically an extension of some of us. We have become too comfortable entrusting our personal information in these devices and databases. If people are some how able to crack through a device or database, it becomes very easy for one to do serious damage to another individual’s life. People are now able to track others and see their online activity much easier than it had been a couple decades ago. Although technology is making our lives much easier, is it worth our safety and security?
I totally agree with you that technology made lives easier for us, but of course their are always drawbacks. Humanity has totally become to comfortable with giving out our private information and are unaware of the consequences. Privacy definitely have less security nowadays compared to back then when new media did not exist. You make a great point that our phones are like an extension of us. Most of us can't live without our phones for one single day.
ReplyDeleteI think it is important to adapt to technology as technology grows. Technology companies and us need to add more barriers to avoid our data being breached. Hackers are all over the place and data breaches are becoming more dangerous. I have read numerous times how Yahoo and Equifax had a data breach where hundreds of millions of people's password and social security numbers were hacked. We must come together to ensure security and privacy.
